according to all exercises of logic and reason, mankind has become more and more evil.
well think about it. depressing as it may be, it's true no?
in the beginning, let's say around the Neolithic (New Stone) Age from 10 000 - 8 000 BC when they started developping agriculture and domesticating animals in the Balkan area (sorry i have a humanities midterm, can u tell?) people were already pretty bloodthirsty and barbaric. They killed things, things killed them. Now let's fast forward to the present. After these thousands of years of theorizing and teaching man to understand the common good and all things noble and true, we still do the same things. Except now we know better.
Coz before, bloodshed was regarded as a means of justice and was carried out with a clean conscience. Now? It's regarded as an abomination, but we still engage in this abomination and to a greater extent than before (think atomic bomb).
so much for what civilization has done to us.
and just for the record i don't usually have these thoughts of bloodletting and abominations. mostly it's warm and fuzzy luv. oh and i saw jeremy chan today =)
